Steve Klueg joined Wastequip as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2016, bringing more than 25 years of financial leadership expertise, with an emphasis on manufacturing organizations. In his role, Steve has successfully aligned our operating business to increase our market share, enhance our margins, and grow our customer base. In 2018, Steve was awarded CFO of the Year in the mid-sized private company category by the Charlotte Business Journal. The award highlights Klueg’s strategic role in significantly improving the company’s financial position and his commitment to the community. In 2019, Steve was appointed to President of the Tarps & Parts Division of Wastequip to oversee the tarps and parts side of the business, alongside his role of CFO.
Previously, Steve served as CFO for two corporations, The Affinia Group and ReCommunity Recycling, where his responsibilities included financial strategy and planning, financial reporting, investor relations, auditing, forecasting, pricing initiatives and business development to increase profitability and strengthen accountability. During that time, he also played a key role in conducting corporate development initiatives for acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to his time as a CFO, Steve served as a treasurer at World Fuel Services Corporation and assistant treasurer at Ingersoll Rand and SPX Corporation. Prior to that, he held various positions in accounting, corporate development and financial planning and analysis.
Steve, who is a certified public accountant and certified managerial accountant, holds an MBA from Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University.
